NICK MELLOR began his musical career in the early nineties, most of which were spent with Midlands-based soul/funk band 'Liable Vibe', playing in venues such as Ronnie Scott's (London) and Band On TheWall (Manchester) as well as making radio and TV appearances. He is an experienced studio player, playing on such soundtracks as the Disney film, 'Treasure Planet' and the a 'Buffy' video game. He has also been involved in 'Future Jazz' projects such as 'The Lithium Project' (Clear) . His original compositions are published in the "North-West Real Book" (Astute, 2007). In November 2002 Nick won Guitarist Magazine's 'Guitarist Of The Year 2002'. He has appeared regularly with Don Felder (The Eagles), Tony Christie ("Amarillo"), as well as John Miles and Richard Fleeshman. He currently divides his time between teaching and gigging and is based in the Manchester area. Nick plays Gibson 335, Standard Fender Tele with a Fender Deville. |
